Ole Miss women's basketball is heading to the Continental Tire Baha Mar Championship Game after producing a dominant display over ACC team Boston College. The Rebels had five double-digit scorers, scoring a season-high 92 points over the Eagles.

They will now meet the No.2 ranked team in the nation, UConn, as they beat Oregon State 71-52. The Huskies will be heavy favorites for the game, but Ole Miss is playing some excellent basketball, and this should be a super competitive game.

Ole Miss dominates Eagles in field goal % and rebounds

Ole Miss handled the step up in competition from their last three games without problem, scoring 92 points against Boston College. The Rebels had a 51.4% field goal success rate but were below the Eagles in three-point and free-throw success.

The big reason this game wasn't closer was rebound success. Cach Yo's side was too physical in the paint, out-rebounding the opposition 45-24. They recorded more offensive and defensive rebounds but were very efficient defensively, with a swing of 22-8.

The Rebels continue to be a physical defensive side under Yolett McPhee-McCuin, suffocating teams around the perimeter and in the paint.

Five players had double-digit scoring nights: Kennedy Todd-Williams (17), Sira Thienou (16), KK Deans (15), Star Jacobs (12), and Ayanna Thompson (10). Jacobs finished with a double-double, also recording 11 rebounds.

First-year player Thienou continues her impressive start to the season, two rebounds away from a double-double of her own.

Next up is a big test against UConn, but although we are only early into the 2024-25 season, this team feels different. Coach Yo has had great teams in the last two seasons, and this one feels like it could be a step above.
