Only 5 from Ole Miss football got an invitation to Indy this year, and De'Zhaun Stribling made sure to get the NFL Scouts hooked before they came back to Oxford.
The WR's 4.36 timer in his 40-yard speed drill was the 8th best among the receivers in this year's Combine and for a 6'2", 207-pound receiver like him, a 4.36 is elite.
Ever since, Stribling is largely trending as the sleeper wideout out of Ole Miss, one that many NFL teams are scrambling to get an interview with.
De'zhaun Stribling continues stacking-up interviews
Per Arye Pulli, Stribling's surging draft stock is evident with his "in-person meetings with the Cardinals and Cowboys recently, per source, and a scheduled pre-draft visit with the Panthers in April."
Besides the in-person interviews, the WR also sat down for some online interivews with five NFL powerhouses: Broncos, Eagles, Dolphins, Raiders, Ravens.
It was just a few days ago that Ryan Fowler reported the Bears and Patriots are also closing in on the WR with visits set with both teams.
The scouts that look beyond the First-Round hype to players who actually have the juice to develop quickly into a high-floor starter are hot on Stribling's trail.
Stribling is the perfect wideout for winning vertically and handling physical press coverage. At this point in a league desperate for size, he's the guy every offensive coordinator wants to close in on.
Earlier considered a late Day 3 or Day 4 pick, Stribling is now steadily pacing towards being a solid Day 2 pick for teams in need for a reliable target to give their signal-callers the break they need.
