After falling behind just one spot from the LSU Tigers in the transfer portal class, Ole Miss and LSU are now in the race to have the better recruiting class in 2025.
Interestingly, the two programs have emerged as top destination for two four-star prospects at the same time.

Both are major recruits as either will turn out to be the highlight of the recruiting class of whichever program he commits to.
The first is four-star defensive lineman Donivan Moore. As the No. 1 overall prospect in Alabama and a top-five defensive lineman in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle, the Hueytown (Ala.) product is down to six schools, with Ole Miss and LSU being two of them.

"With a new coaching staff entering the picture in both Auburn and Oxford, time will tell on which schools are contenders heading into official visits this summer."
The other is equally hypes four-star safety Jayden Anding. The No. 2 rated safety in Louisiana is a product of Ruston (La.), and has raked in multiple scholarships from programs like LSU Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, Miami Hurricanes, and North Carolina Tar Heels, among others.
Ole Miss's Pete Golding is one of the latest ones to reach out with an offer.
The overlapping recruiting targets shows that the recruiting battle is already on between Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.
