Oxford has circled April 25 as Ole Miss football scheduled perhaps the most-awaited offseason day for the Rebel Nation: the Meet the Rebels weekend.
Ever since the program ditched the traditional Spring Ball game this season, the meet and greet day officially becomes the fan-favorite spring blockbuster.
The Manning Center will be all decked up to welcome fans on April 25 to get a chance to grab some autographs and some pictures with the Rebels.
Oxford preparing for one eventful weekend
Expected to be kicked off around 9:30 a.m., head coach Pete Golding and a few other coaches will take out time for am Q&A session with the fans.
And that's just the starting to what the weekend has in store for them. In fact, that's just the morning.
At the Swayze Field, Ole Miss baseball hosts Georgia in a thriller of a game at 1 p.m. That sets up the fans for another massive afternoon, which will be followed by an equally electric evening at the Oxford Square, where the the Double Decker Arts Festival will be taking over the weekend.
Detailed information for Meet The Rebels Day, including VIP opportunities through The Grove Collective, will be announced in the weeks ahead.
All the offseason drama with the tampering allegations and the Trinidad Chambliss saga will make the day even more buzzing than it usually is.
Since fans are not getting Chambliss on the cover of EA Sports 27 this season, they will be lining up to get his autograph on their jerseys and footballs, and quite possibly even on the hot fan-favorite Trinidad and Tobago flags!
