This kid is tough as nails. Oxford is living large right now, as the Ole Miss Rebels were able to stun the Georgia Bulldogs in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. Lucas Carneiro was the hero late with his 47-yard game-winner, but he wasn't the only standout for Pete Golding.

Ole Miss overcame 2 pathetic calls from refs to take down Georgia in the CFP

Nope, we've of course got to bring up the spectacular play of quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who was no question the best player on the field in this one. Countless people counted out Ole Miss, doing so once Lane Kiffin bolted for LSU. However, this team never stopped believing, which the QB made more than clear right after the final whistle:

“Yeah, just our grit,” Chambliss said on what this team has been able to overcome. “We just want to win, we just want to play football and have fun with our brothers. Since fall camp, this has been our goal. Get to the College Football Playoff and hopefully get to the National Championship.”

Trinidad Chambliss has never stopped believing in Ole Miss and his teammates

For Ole Miss fans, those words from Chambliss definitely mean something. This team has had to overcome so much adversity in the past month or so. Kiffin helped power this team to a fantastic regular season, which led to a trip to the CFP.

However, rumors started flying he was going to leave for a new job - he has already made the move to Baton Rouge to take over for the Tigers. Immediately after that happened, Golding was given the role and the guys inside of the locker room rallied around their new head coach.

Golding has embraced every one of his players and the team chemistry has never been higher. As we mentioned above, countless people didn't give Ole Miss much of a chance to make noise in the CFP once Kiffin left town. However, this group is now one win away from heading to the title game. The haters are being silenced and Chambliss is a big reason for that.
