It's been a funny week for 2025 Alabama commit Caleb Cunningham. After committing to the Crimson Tide last week, reports suggested he would still attend Auburn's Big Cat weekend. With plenty of replies from Tigers fans saying he was going to flip his commitment, Cunningham took to X to post, "I don't care what nobody says. There is no flipping."

Today, the Mississippi native posted again on his X account to say he would not visit Auburn this weekend. Fans didn't take the news well, leading to a funny exchange with an Auburn fan underneath his social media post.

After an Auburn fan posted, "We literally don't care," Cunningham took the nice guy approach and thanked him, sparking an interesting back-and-forth.

Cunningham finished with "that’s who I am dawg && then I’m cool with him. He’s a dawg for sure."

Despite Auburn, Ole Miss, and other schools recruiting him hard, Cunningham chose Alabama, saying he was 1000% committed. The Choctaw Country High School prospect was ranked the No. 2 wide receiver, and No. 13 player nationally in 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The talented 2025 recruit took a lot of heat from Auburn fans and probably other programs fans. However, he handled it all well, throwing a bit of shade back but nothing offensive. When it comes to recruits committing to other programs over others, fans need to realize it's often never personal. They are making huge decisions in their lives and feel that whatever they choose is the best for them.

Caleb Cunningham is listed as a potential visitor to Juice Fest this coming Saturday in Oxford, the same weekend as the Alabama Cold Summer Cook-Out. As of today, he has not confirmed if he will attend Juice Fest.

Ole Miss has an extensive list of players who will be attending, and Lane Kiffin hopes to secure a few commitments the following week after Juice Fest.
