Ole Miss football may be preparing for its Week 4 game against Georgia Southern, but away from the game, the Rebels had some excellent recruiting news. Four-star safety Ladarian Clardy has announced his commitment to the Rebels after waiting a few months.

Clardy chose Lane Kiffins's team over Florida State, LSU, UCF, Vanderbilt, and Washington, and he had some positive words to say about his future head coach and his staff.

Ole Miss has been near the top of Ladarian Clardy's recruiting list for some time, fighting it out with one of his home state teams, Florida State. The Rebels even had to fight off late pushes from Washington, and this week, LSU, which Clardy said was his dream school after the Tigers offered him.

Despite the late offer, Lane Kiffin and his staff had already done enough work to receive a commitment from the 2025 safety. Speaking to On3, Clardy spoke highly about the coaching staff at Ole Miss and how Oxford feels like home.

""Ole Miss is like home away from home,” Clardy told On3. “How the coaching staff recruited me, how they got to know my family, they made it feel like home.""

Clardy was extremely complimentary of the Ole Miss coaching staff, especially safety coach Wes Neighbors and defensive coordinator Pete Golding, who recruited him.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Ladarian Clardy is the No.16 safety in the 2025 class and the No. 29 player in the state of Florida. The commitment moves Ole Miss to No. 21 in the team recruiting rankings.
