Four-star wide receiver Dillon Alfred decommitted from Ole Miss just over a month ago. Yesterday, he announced he was committing again, and this time, he would be staying for good.

After his decommitment from the program on June 24, Alfred was still considering the Rebels, with Clemson as another significant option. After visiting both schools over the last week, the Alabama native was sure that Ole Miss was home.

He spoke to On3 after he announced his commitment to the Rebels and about his thoughts during his visit to Clemson.

"“When I was at Clemson, I just kept thinking about Ole Miss. While on the visit, I was walking around the field trying to imagine myself there and it wasn’t the same vibe as I have had at Ole Miss. Clemson is a great school, and I knew I liked it, but the feeling just wasn’t the same.”"

Alfred went on to say how his visit to Oxford a few days later felt right, speaking to wide receivers coach George McDonald and Lane Kiffin especially. Since his decommitment, Kiffin and his staff stayed in contact with Alfred, showing that they wanted him to be a big part of the program. It was a big part of why he decided to head back to Ole Miss and commit.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver is ranked the No.59 wide receiver in the class and No.17 player in Alabama per the On3 Industry Rankings.

Alfred is Ole Miss's fourteenth commitment to the 2025 class. It now moves the Rebels back into the top 25 of the team recruiting rankings at the No.23 spot. After a string of decommitments in June, the team slipped way down the recruiting ranks, outside the top 40. Since then, they have slowly pulled it back.

Alfred's commitment may be the first of several to the program. A handful of players will be announced this week.
