An Ole Miss team will still feature on Thanksgiving Day in 2024
Ole Miss basketball head coach Chris Beard went unbeaten during his first non-conference schedule with the Rebels in the 2023/24 season. With the 2024/25 schedule announced, doing that again looks much more challenging.
As we know, Ole Miss will play in the 2024 Rady Children's Invitational Tournament, which takes place on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Over the two days, the Rebels will face two of either BYU, NC State or Purdue, all formidable opponents.
Despite Ole Miss football's traditional Thanksgiving Day Egg Bowl game being moved to Black Friday, Rebel fans can watch one of their teams play on the national holiday. This means there will be a double dose of Ole Miss sports on Black Friday, with football and basketball games.
Among other non-conference games announced, Ole Miss will play a Throwback Game for the second year in a row. The Rebels will welcome South Alabama to the Tad Pad on November 12. The team will also play in Southaven, Mississippi, taking on Colorado State on November 16.
Another key date is December 3, when the Rebels will play Lousiville on the road in the SEC/ACC Challenge. The Rebels also face another tough non-conference road game against Memphis, the last game before SEC Conference play starts.
Below is the rundown of the 2024/25 non-conference schedule for Ole Miss:

As mentioned. Chris Beard went unbeaten in non-conference play last season, finishing 13-0. Looking at the 2024/25 opponents, that will take a lot of work to do again. However, with an exciting roster for the new season, it will be good to see this team against some of the better teams in the nation.
