3. Do the Rebels have the best wide receiver group in the country?

Ole Miss has seen some quality receiving cores over the years. However, could the 2024 group potentially be the best yet?

Lane Kiffin was happy to see Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins reveal they were staying for one more season. The duo both passed the 800 receiving-yard mark in 2023, with Harris missing nearly three games but still making it to 985 yards and eight touchdowns. The Louisiana native has been mentioned as one of the top returning wide receivers in the country.

The only significant loss to the group from last season was Dayton Wade, who looked to have a crack at the NFL. Kiffin, dipped into the transfer portal, picking up talented SEC receiver Antwane "Juice" Wells from South Carolina. Despite an injury plagued 2023 season, Wells was ranked a top three wide receiver from the portal.

Ole Miss also picked up a commitment from four-star JUCO prospect Deion Smith. A former LSU player in 2022, Smith spent the last two seasons at Holmes C.C., dominating the opposition. In the small sample size we have seen in college, he showed he had high-end potential as a playmaker.

As well as the four talented guys mentioned above, the Rebels also have two second-year guys returning. Ayden Williams and Cayden Lee are highly respected by the coaching staff, with both guys seeing the field at points last season.

The room is stacked with talent, meaning opposition defenses won't be able to sleep whoever they are lining up against.
