Quinshon Judkins was the star running back for Ole Miss for two seasons. However, in December, he chose to enter the transfer portal, surprising many in Oxford.

At the time, everything was trending sky-high for the Ole Miss program. However, it took a hit when Quinshon Judkins announced he was entering the transfer portal.

With the announcement, rumours circled the social media world, suggesting Judkins valued himself too high when it came to name, image and likeness. It looked like those rumours had legs when Judkins announced he was transferring to Ohio State.

Quinshon Judkins spoke to On3, saying NIL was "not a factor" in his reasoning for his transfer out of Ole Miss.

"It's a business. You have to understand that people won't always be happy with the decisions you make when it's best for yourself""

Despite Judkins squashing the rumours, it felt odd that the star running back would leave a program on the upward trend. There were also reports that there was a rift between Judkins and other players on the Ole Miss roster.

Whatever the situation, Lane Kiffin is without the services of Quinshon Judkins next season. The Ole Miss head coach has already started to find a solution in the backfield.

Kiffin has three running backs in the room capable of splitting the load or making a push for the majority workhorse role. Ulysses Bentley IV has returned for another season, along with 2023 four-star recruit Kedrick Reescano. Kiffin has also brought in LSU transfer Logan Diggs.

All three players offer something a little different and could all contribute to filling the hole left by the departure of Quinshon Judkins.
