Current Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is on his way to being one of the greatest the program has ever seen. Dart has already overtaken Romaro Miller and Jordan Ta'amu in total career passing yards for Ole Miss. With a good 2024 season, he could reach the No.1 spot and overtake Eli Manning.

At Fridays Manning Passing Academy, Eli spoke about Jaxson Dart courtesy of Matt DeGregorio of WCOX.

""He seems like a great kid and has a good head on his shoulders. I'm excited about his future.""

Eli Manning on Jaxson Dart

Manning was recently part of a special evening in Oxford courtesy of the Grove Collective. He and Jaxson Dart met for a meet-and-greet, during which they chatted about Ole Miss and other aspects of their careers. Manning said that was the first time he had really sat down and talked to Dart, aside from seeing him briefly at games.

Like the Ole Miss fans, Eli is looking forward to a big season for the Rebels in 2024. He mentioned the talented wide receivers and top defensive talent the team has brought in.

What Ole Miss program records can Jaxson Dart break in 2024?

Heading into his third season with the team and a lot of expectation behind the offense, Jaxson Dart could break a few records in 2024.

Dart is No.5 at Ole Miss, 3,781 yards behind Eli Manning in all-time career passing yards. Last season, he finished with 3,364 passing yards, which, if he hits again, would take him into second in front of Bo Wallace. However, Dart could easily reach No.1 with a good season.

Reaching 3,781 passing yards would take him to No.3 in single-season passing yards for the program. It would be ahead of Eli Manning's two best single seasons. Chad Kelly holds the single-season record with 4,042 in 2015.

Career passing touchdowns may be out of reach. However, Eli Manning's single-season program record stands at 31 in 2001. Dart's best was last season when he had 23. With the number of times Ole Miss runs the ball, himself included, it may be tough to beat.
