Ole Miss is still chasing a quarterback from the 2025 recruiting class. Lane Kiffin is likely still speaking to Deuce Knight, but recent news suggests that Auburn is likely to flip the Notre Dame commit.
Kiffin and his staff have always been in conversation with other quarterback recruits from the 2025 class and are still looking at future classes ahead of 2025. One of his targets is Californian Luke Fahey, a 2026 four-star recruit from Mission Viejo, CA.
Fahey is currently ranked the No.15 quarterback and No. 29 player in his home state of California, but that could move with it being very early in the recruiting process; Fahey will be visiting Ole Miss this weekend for the Furman game, reported by 247Sports Inside the Rebels.
The 2026 signal-caller has no game this coming weekend, defeating Santa Margarita 34-7 last week, with Fahey throwing three touchdowns. Kiffin may not need a 2025 quarterback recruit with the talent he has on the roster. Austin Simmons was part of the 2023 Ole Miss recruiting class after flipping from Florida and reclassifying from the 2025 class. The Rebels also have a 2024 recruit in AJ Maddox, so the quarterback room is looking healthy.
He will join several recruits on the sidelines of the week 1 game, including four-star 2025 safety prospect Ladarian Clardy, who will also be in Oxford this weekend. Ole Miss is very high on this player, who is set to announce his commitment on September 21. It feels like it's between them, Florida State, and Washington.
As mentioned, we are just five days away from the season's first game; let's enjoy the ride and Hotty Toddy.
