With just over a week left until the college basketball transfer portal closes, here is the latest portal news from Ole Miss.

Ole Miss Guard Brandon Murray Enters Transfer Portal

Ole Miss Basketball lost guard Brandon Murray to the transfer portal on April 22. Murray transferred to the Rebels from Georgetown in 2023 after spending a season with the Hoyas. The Florida native was a top-85 recruit who committed to LSU in 2021.

Rumours circulated that Murray would potentially enter the portal after featuring in just 23 games,
averaging 19.8 minutes a game. He averaged 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists during those appearances. This doesn't come at the best time for head coach Chris Beard, who will have another body to replace on the roster.

Virginia Tech Guard Sean Pedulla Visits the Rebels

Virginia Tech transfer guard Sean Pedulla visited Oxford on April 22, with Ole Miss battling out with Oklahoma for his commitment. The Sooners are in the driving seat. However, Chris Beard has shown if he gets a player on campus, there is a high chance they commit to the Rebels.

Pedulla averaged 16.4 Points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists for the Hokies last season. If Ole Miss can get him to commit to them, it would be a significant addition to the roster.

Could Ole Miss Arrange a Few More Visits this Week?

Ole Miss is looking to get a couple of players on campus for a visit this week. One of those players is South Florida transfer Kasean Pryor. The big forward is harbouring interest from some of the top programs. However, Beard has been in contact, looking to get the big man on campus for a visit.
