Ole Miss Baseball and Softball went down 1-0 in their Friday SEC games. Today, they will be looking to tie the weekend series up.

Ole Miss has seen a solid start to the season for their baseball and softball teams. Both teams are down 1 in this weekend's series. However, they have shown resilience before when down this season.

An Ole Miss Baseball Fightback Not Enough Against Kentucky in Game 1

Ole Miss looked like they might secure a fightback win in game 1 of the series against Kentucky. Down 4-1, Ethan Lege's two-run homer reduced the score to 4-3. However, Kentucky added another score to take the opening game 5-3.

The Rebels could have prevented the loss, with their own mistakes helping the No.15 ranked Wildcats to the win.

The Rebels will look to tie the game up later today, with the start time for game 2 of the series at 1:30 p.m. CT.

Ole Miss Softball Suffer Loss to South Carolina in Extras

The Ole Miss Softball team lost agonislngly to No.22 South Carolina in game 1 of their series. With the game tied at 0-0, it headed into the ninth, with the Gamecocks adding two runs from a leadoff walk and two hits. The Rebels could not answer, going down 1-0 on home soil.

The Ladies will also look to tie the game up today, with game time set for 3 p.m. CT.
