Ole Miss basketball made it ten wins from ten on Saturday, beating Cal 88-78 in San Antonio, Texas. Rebel fans have been waiting a few weeks to see if their team could break the AP top 25. They finally did just that, breaking the top 25 in todays latest ranking announcement.

Rebels basketball head coach Chris Beard has transferred the team into a winning machine early in the season. The AP poll has finally rewarded the start Ole Miss have made with a ranking in the top 25.

Ole Miss Basketball just made the cut, slotting in as the number 25 team in the country. It's the first time they have made the rankings since 2019.

The Rebels received 180 votes, 80 behind Wisconsin who were ranked 24. Ole Miss were one of three SEC schools making the top 25, alongside Tennessee and Kentucky. When conference play kicks off in January, the first SEC game for the Rebels will be against the Volunteers.

Ole Miss landed two spots behind Memphis, who they beat a few weeks back. The Associated Press likely took into account the Memphis Tigers beating Clemson, who were ranked 13 at the time.

Everything is clicking for Chris Beard's team, with the first-year head coach finding success early on at Ole Miss. There will be tougher parts of the season to come. However, the culture Beard has brought to the team fits in with everything that is happening down in Oxford.

Ole Miss are back in Oxford on Dec.20 for their next game, taking on Troy who sit at 5-5 on the season.
