Ole Miss football vs. Baylor football

The Rebel's most recent defeat by the Baylor Bears came just two years ago in the Sugar Bowl in 2022. Both teams had successful 2021 seasons. Ole Miss finished the regular season 10-2 with big wins over No. 13 Arkansas and No. 11 Texas A&M.

Baylor had just won the Big 12 Championship for the first time since 2013 and was ranked No. 7 when these two teams fought. Baylor was able to keep Ole Miss scoreless in the first half, and even though the Rebels tied it in the third quarter, the Bears went on to score 14 unanswered points to get the Sugar Bowl win.

The first time these teams met, Baylor walked away with a 20-10 win in 1975. This was the only time these teams met in the regular season.

These teams could meet up again in the future with the College Football Playoff expanding. Baylor needs to play better than they did this past season to make it there but Ole Miss could be a regular participants going forward.
