Michigan is and always has been a high-powered program and it is a wonder that these teams have only met once in their history and it was back in the early 90s.

Ole Miss had a nine-win season in 1990 for the first time since 1961. They were ranked for the last seven weeks of the season with their biggest win over No. 13 Arkansas.

The Rebels drew a matchup with the Wolverines in the Gator Bowl to end the 1990 season. The game was a top-15 matchup with Ole Miss coming in at No. 15 and Michigan coming in at No. 12. The game was a blowout as Michigan won it 35-3 and Ole Miss finished the year 9-2.

With the College Football Playoff expanding this season, Ole Miss and Michigan could both be in the mix and find each other in a game. The Rebels could even score and maybe even take the series lead in the future with more matchups.
