Ole Miss Football has a top tier coaching staff in the SEC- Josh Pate
Ole Miss has made a few changes to the coaching staff during the off-season. Those changes have put Lane Kiffin's coaching staff in the top tier alongside Georgia and others in the SEC.
The latest episode of The Late Kick with Josh Pate used a model to rank the best Southeastern Conference team's coaching staff. Pate, who gets pushback from fans regarding his models, had Ole Miss Football in the top tier alongside Georgia, Alabama and Auburn.
Josh Pate mentioned one of the important parts of his coaching module is coaching experience, something that Ole Miss has in buckets from their new hires. Lane Kiffin added 274 games of experience with his coaching staff, with Josh Pate's model saying the Rebels upgraded with all 11 hires.
"Ole Miss has a tier on coaching staff in the SEC. It surprises me that Lane Kiffin has got his overall staff to a tier-one status in the most talent-rich environment in America, the Southeastern Conference."

One of those hires this season was George McDonald, who came over from Illinois as the new Rebel's wide receivers coach and playing game coordinator. McDonald was part of helping Illinois to the third-best passing yards and fourth-best in total yards in the Big Ten Conference.
The Rebels also added Joe Cox as the new tight end coach, who previously served in the same role at Alabama for the last two seasons.
Most of the talk is about how Lane Kiffin has attacked the transfer portal, bringing in players to compete for the big prizes in college football. However, having a top-tier coaching staff is another important part of what Lane Kiffin is building.
