Ole Miss football players are chomping at the bit to get onto the field against Furman in week 1 of the college football season. First, players are focused on the upcoming fall camp, which should get underway in about a week.

Lane Kiffin has said this could be the best roster he has had on paper. As the Rebels head into fall camp, several starting positions could still be up for grabs.

Looking at the Ole Miss offense, we have a go at what the Rebels depth chart may look like heading into fall camp.

Quarterback

Jaxson Dart, Walker Howard, Austin Simmons, AJ Maddox

The first name on the starters chart, Jaxson Dart, heads into his third season with the Rebels and his final season in college football. Dart has helped construct this offense with his talents as a recruiter. Fall camp will be less hectic than in previous seasons for Dart.

The backup role looks set in stone, with redshirt sophomore Walker Howard the No. 2 quarterback. Howard sat behind Dart and Spencer Sanders after transferring from LSU in 2023. He has minimal game experience, which is a slight concern.

Austin Simmons is an exciting prospect who played several innings of baseball for Ole Miss this past spring before an unfortunate UCL injury. It's unlikely he will push past Howard for the No. 2 spot, but he has serious arm talent and the belief despite zero minutes on the field.

Freshman four-star quarterback AJ Maddox will sit and learn behind one of the best—another future talent for the Rebels who could be part of a quarterback battle in 2025.
