You look around the NFL, and you will be forgiven to know every past Ole Miss player on a roster unless you follow the Rebels closely. Would you be surprised that Ole Miss ranks No.19 in the nation in active NFL players?

The Rebels have 35 former players who are active on NFL rosters. This may be far off the 77 from Alabama or the 65 from LSU. However, they are eight behind the No.10 ranked Florida, with 43 active NFL players for the Gators.

Ole Miss also ranks above elite programs such as Miami and Florida State while being ahead of SEC programs, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. Just saying the program has active players in the NFL is something, but to say you have elite players at numerous positions is something else.

Wide receivers A.J. Brown and DK Metcalf are among the top 10 highest-paid players in their position, with Brown No. 2 behind Justin Jefferson. Evan Engram is a top-10 tight end, while offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil is one of the best in the league at his position—a special shout-out to Mike Hilton, who has been a talent as a slot corner.

Ole Miss produces talent, and with the new rules regarding the transfer portal, players are seeing a route to the next level run through Oxford. They compete with the best college teams while being part of a high-level relationship between coaches and players.

Wide receiver Tre Harris was already a talent when he transferred to Ole Miss. However, a season with the Rebels coaches has seen his draft stock jump drastically due to his performances on the big stage and his improvement in his game. It's not just players from a group of five conferences; Antwane Wells transferred this season from SEC team South Carolina and is looking to do the same for his game.

Ole Miss has a whole bunch of talent heading to the 2025 NFL Draft

The Rebels could see their record of six players drafted in seven rounds smashed during the 2025 NFL Draft. Ole Miss has over ten draft-eligible players, and it would be surprising if they fail to pass six players drafted.

The program record for first-round draft picks is three, which could also be broken with the talent Ole Miss has on its roster in 2024.

Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Antwane Wells, and Caden Prieskorn are some offensive talents looking to be drafted in the opening two days, and defensive talents such as Walter Nolen, Princely Umanmielen, and Chris Paul are also looking to do the same.

Deion Smith, Jordan Watkins, Jared Ivey, and Isaiah Hamilton are others who will be hoping to hear their name called during the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite losing a large majority of production after this season, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has plenty more talented players waiting behind while also utilizing the transfer portal again.
