Ole Miss will be in Oxford again in week 2, hosting the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders of Conference-USA.
The Blue Raiders finished the 2023 season with a 4-8 record under long-term head coach Rick Stockstill. It was Stockstill's first head coaching job when he was appointed in 2006, making ten bowl games in 18 seasons despite missing out this season.
Ole Miss and Middle Tennessee met once before in 2001, with the Rebels winning 45-17. The Blue Raiders played against two SEC teams this season, losing to Alabama and Missouri.
It's a nice two-game start to next season, with two wins from two expected.
