@LSU - Oct.12
It's back-to-back road games for Ole Miss, with a tough test in Baton Rouge. The Ole Miss-LSU rivalry continues in 2024.
The Tigers finished 9-3 this season, with one of their losses coming against the Rebels. It was one of the games of the 2023 season, finishing 55-49 to Ole Miss in Oxford. LSU did manage dominant wins over Auburn and Florida, with their other two losses against top-five ranked teams.
Despite the three losses, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was awarded the Heisman trophy last week. Alongside Daniels, top wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. are expected to declare for the NFL Draft. Can LSU fill those gaping holes left on offense?
The defense was horrendous last season, giving up an average of 33 points per game against SEC teams. That will have to improve drastically if they want to make the new-look 12-team college football playoff.
Despite the players LSU are losing, head coach Brian Kelly will still make them a competitive team. No matter the level the team is playing at, Baton Rouge is a tough place to play.
