There were several transfer portal visits over the weekend for Ole Miss. One of those was Michigan cornerback Amorion Walker, who has now committed to the Rebels.

The Rebels landed a potential starter at the cornerback position earlier today. Michigan transfer Amorion Walker, who visited Oxford this past weekend, is now an Ole Miss player. Walker, who entered the portal soon after Michigan won its national title, joins new secondary coach Bryan Bown's secondary.

It's a welcome addition to the roster, with the recent departure of cornerback Decamerion Richardson. Richardson had committed to the Rebels back in December after entering the transfer portal from Mississippi State. However, he decided to switch his decision and head to the NFL Draft.

Now that Amorion Walker has committed, he will have a good chance to be an impact player for the Rebels in 2024. Walker, who switched from wide receiver to cornerback, had limited playing time in 2023, featuring in just three games.

Walker was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class, with a lot expected when he arrived in Ann Arbor. At the start of the 2023 season, Walker was mentioned by the Athletic's Bruce Feldman in his annual "Freak List".

It's another great acquisition for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels, with more yet to come before spring practice begins.
