Ole Miss Football got an early commitment from four-star 2025 linebacker Corey Amos during Saturday's junior day.

It was the junior day on Saturday in Oxford, with plenty of high school players impressed with what Ole Miss had to offer. The visit for Corey Amos must have been extra special, with the 2025 linebacker not leaving without committing to the Rebels.

Amos, a native of Louisiana, was ranked a four-star linebacker and the number six overall player in the state by On3. He chose Ole Miss over various other offers, such as Michigan, Penn State, Miami, Mississippi State and several other schools.

It's the first hard commit to the Rebels from the 2025 recruiting class. Fans knew something big was happening when Pete Golding, amongst others, dropped the shark emoji on social media. Not long after, Amos also used social media to announce his commitment.

The other players who visited on Saturday were left in awe of the program and what Lane Kiffin is building. One player who said that Ole Miss was leading in his commitment race was another player out of the state of Louisiana.

Defensive back Jhase Thomas, whose father Fred played for Ole Miss in the 90s, said the Rebels were leading the race for his commitment.

On the whole, the day felt like a successful one for the team. Still, Kiffin and the coaching staff have work to do to get more commitments from the 2025 class of players.
