Ole Miss Football added a talented coach to its staff yesterday in previous Ohio State QB coach Corey Dennis.

Lane Kiffin has not only been improving the Ole Miss roster this off-season, but he has also added a bunch of talented coaches to his staff. The likes of wide receiver coach George McDonald and tight ends coach Joe Cox are positive hires for the Rebels. Yesterday, they added another coach with an excellent resume.

Previously, the Ohio State quarterbacks coach, Corey Dennis joined Lane Kiffin as an offensive analyst for the Rebels. Dennis, who left Ohio State after the appointment of offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien, originally looked to be joining Kyle Whittingham at Utah. However, reports from On3 have suggested he will now be joining the Ole Miss coaching staff.

Corey Dennis spent four seasons with the Buckeyes, coaching the likes of Justin Fields, C.J. Stroud and this season, Kyle McCord. He had two seasons with Stroud, who is now coming off a successful first season in the NFL, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Season award.

The appointment could be a boost for the Ole Miss quarterback room, including starter Jaxson Dart. It is likely Dart's final season before he heads off to the NFL in 2025. If Dennis can use his wisdom from his four seasons under Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, it would be beneficial for Dart and the other Rebel QBs.
