Ole Miss's transfer portal news has been unusually quiet these past few weeks. On May 14, however, there was news of a visit from linebacker Khalil Jacobs.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin may have one of the strongest rosters in recent years. However, he wouldn't be doing his job to the fullest if he wasn't still actively looking at players available in the transfer portal.

On May 14, the Rebels hosted South Alabama transfer linebacker Khalil Jacobs. The heavily-pursued Jacobs tallied 56 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 3 forced fumbles, and an INT during the 2023 season for the Jaguars.

The linebacker position is arguably the lightest on the roster despite boasting players such as Arkansas transfer Chris Paul, Khari Coleman, and Tyler Banks. However, if Kiffin can land a player such as Jacobs, it would add more quality to the group.

Jacobs is also looking to reschedule visits with SEC schools in Alabama and Missouri. Kiffin hopes to work his magic and get a commitment before Jacobs manages to set dates for those visits.
