Ole Miss Football: This is where we want to be - Lane Kiffin
We are just four days away from Ole Miss taking on Penn State in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 30. Yesterday, players and head coach Lane Kiffin met with the media, with the fourth-year head coach speaking about how grateful he is to be in Oxford.
In his four seasons as the Ole Miss head coach, Lane Kiffin has changed the trajectory of the football team. Before Kiffin took over, the Rebels had four seasons without a winning record and one bowl game, which they were made ineligible due to NCAA sanctions.
This Saturday, Ole Miss will compete in their fourth bowl game in four seasons under Kiffin, with a win over Penn State giving him an 11-win season.
Yesterday, during the Peach Bowl media day, Kiffin spoke about his time in Oxford and his contract extension.
"“I’m very grateful to be hired here in the first place. To get an extension that didn’t change anything financially, just added length.”"

The fact that Kiffin has signed a new extension without a financial boost shows how much he and his family love it in Oxford. Kiffin also praised the staff and the players for what they have achieved in his four seasons with the team.
First, they are looking to take care of business in the Peach Bowl on Saturday. However, it's an exciting time heading into 2024. Kiffin has already delivered some memorable times with Ole Miss. However, the team are looking to bring something even bigger to Oxford next season.
