Ole Miss Football to host two Washington transfer portal players
Ole Miss have a handful of transfer portal players on planned visits this weekend. Earlier today, it was confirmed two Washington transfer portal players would visit Oxford next week.
Lane Kiffin is keeping his foot firmly on the transfer portal recruiting pedal, with several visits in the books from this weekend onwards. Two of those visits will happen next week, as Ole Miss will have two Washington players on campus.
Offensive tackle Nate Kalepo and Edge B.J. Green will be in town to speak with Kiffin and the coaches, who will be trying their best to get two commitments.
OT Nate Kalepo was part of Washington's epic run to the College Football Championship game. Kalepo played in all 15 games, winning the 2023 Joe Moore Award alongside his other offensive linemen. The award is presented to the best offensive line in college football for the season.
B.J. Green was not part of the Washington roster this season. However, he committed to the Huskies after entering the transfer portal from Arizona State. In his three seasons with the Sun Devils, Green registered 60 tackles and 13.5 sacks.
Nate Kalepo is ranked the number eight offensive tackle, while B.J. Green is ranked the sixth-best edge player, per On3.
Both players would be great additions to the roster. However, Nate Kalepo would be a boost to the Ole Miss offensive line.
Lane Kiffin is trying to take advantage of Alabama, Washington and possibly Arizona players, who have had an extra 30 days to enter the transfer portal with the departure of head coaches in the last week.
The second official window to acquire players who are not officially in the transfer portal will run from April 15 to April 30 of this year.
