Ole Miss football wide receiver and defensive back on depth chart for the Middle Tennessee game
The Ole Miss football depth chart for the Middle Tennessee game was released earlier, with all eyes on the wide receiver position. Antwane "Juice" Wells, who was listed as questionable, was on the depth chart after Lane Kiffin said he probably would not feature in the Week 2 game. Wells is on the depth chart alongside Ayden Williams for the Rebels.
Jordan Watkins was not on the team for a second week after missing the Week 1 victory over Furman. Cayden Lee will deputize again for Watkins, with splashes of Josh Aka. Lee had four receptions for 78 yards last weekend and caught one touchdown, the first of freshman Austin Simmons's college career.
Key Lawrence, who was also listed as questionable, made the depth chart for today's game. When asked about Lawrence at this past week's press conference, Kiffin said he was hopeful to have him back but wasn't sure. Lawrence is listed at free safety, behind Trey Washington.
Just because they are listed on the depth chart doesn't mean they will be featured today. We will see if we hear more information once the game gets closer.
One player we knew was out was offensive tackle Jermey James. He is reported to have broken his hand, and the timescale is unknown. He is listed on the depth chart but is out for today's game.
