Lane Kiffin spoke at his latest spring practice press conference about Alabama coaches and players featured while Nick Saban was head coach. If Ole Miss Football land somebody who has coached or played under Saban, you are getting a talented individual.

Lane Kiffin, a coach who has been profoundly influenced by his time under the tutelage of former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, often pays tribute to the lessons he learned during his tenure with the Crimson Tide. It's a testament to the impact of Saban's coaching style that Kiffin eagerly welcomes any opportunity to bring in staff or players who have experienced Saban's methods firsthand.

Speaking about Alabama cornerback transfer Trey Amos, Kiffin spoke about what you are getting coaches and players who have worked with Saban.

"When you end up hiring assistant coaches, Joe Cox, you know some people over time from Alabama, you know what you are getting from coach Saban," Kiffin said. When you get players, especially DBs, you know how they've been trained and what they are used to.

Alabama Transfer Trey Amos Knew Ole Miss was the Best Place for Himself

When Nick Saban retired, Alabama transfer cornerback Trey Amos had doubts about staying with the Crimson Tide. This forced him to make the difficult decision to enter the transfer portal and think about his next move.

Amos spoke on April 2 about his process in making the decision to enter the transfer portal and where his next home should be.

"Once I entered the transfer portal, I started to think about where I should choose—where I would best fit and be more comfortable," Amos said. I had chosen Ole Miss because I felt like it was pretty much the same system, but more simple. So I can play fast and try to make plays."

Amos adds some high-level experience, playing under Nick Saban in 2023 after transferring from Louisiana. Ole Miss will benefit from his SEC experience and his physical approach when playing the cornerback position.
