2024 will see the last time July will have high-level recruiting activity, as from 2025, there will be a 31-day dead period starting July 1. However, this year could be a big month for head coach Lane Kiffin and his staff as they hone in on several 2025 recruits.

Ole Miss is still in a position to receive commitments from several players while also having outside shots at some of the major talents from the 2025 class. Here are the players the Rebels are still pushing chips in for.

Caleb Cunningham, wide receiver

The current top-ranked wide receiver has yet to commit. Alabama, Mississippi State, Florida, and Auburn are trying to convince Caleb Cunningham their program is home. Ole Miss still has an outside chance for the five-star receiver, with a visit planned to Oxford on July 27. It will be an enormous opportunity for Ole Miss to make a significant push in Cunningham's recruitment process.

With Cunningham an in-state prospect, it would be a statement if Ole Miss could land the talented wide receiver. The Rebels have, for the most part, missed out on major offensive talent from Mississippi. If Cunningham came to Oxford, it would significantly impact future in-state commitments on offense.

Shekai Mills-Knight, running back

Ole Miss may have seen top in-state running back Akylin Dear decommit from the program. However, they have a high chance of grabbing a commitment from another talent. Shekai Mills-Knight released his Top 8 schools recently, with a commitment coming soon.

The Rebels look to be favored in the recruitment prediction machines for the Tennessee native. With no 2025 running back commit and several current players having only one year of eligibility, Mills-Knight would have the chance to see the field as a freshman should he commit.

Ladarian Clardy, safety

After his June visit, Ladarian Clardy had Ole Miss pulling even with his home state team, Florida State. Washington has entered the mix recently, with the three schools mentioned standing out. Clardy has confirmed he wants to return to Oxford, with his previous visit going so well.

Ole Miss has several commits from the 2025 class who play safety. However, most are also versatile in the secondary. Getting a commitment from Clardy would be huge for the Rebels, as he is a significant talent. A tone-setter in the secondary and is a perfect fit for a Pete Golding defense.

Damola Ajidahun, offensive tackle

Damola Ajidahun looks to be heading towards a commitment to his home state team, Georgia. With recent happenings, Ole Miss might have a slim chance of a commitment. The Bulldogs are trending highly for several top offensive line commits from the 2025 class while having a stacked 2024 class across the offensive line.

Could Ajidahun look to a different route to guarantee early playing time? It's a long shot, as I'm sure he backs his talent. However, keep an eye out for developments with the four-star offensive tackle.
