Ole Miss men's basketball have their second McDonalds All-American in school history. 2024 centre John Bol was announced to the roster earlier today.

Back in 2021, Ole Miss men's basketball had their first All-American in Daeshun Ruffin. Today, it becomes two as 2024 recruit John Bol made the roster for this year's McDonald's All-American game.

Bol's story is inspiring, as he only took up basketball nine months before arriving in the US in 2021. He was discovered thanks to a 13-second cell phone video clip.

The 7-foot-1 Bol will feature for the East team in the 2024 prep All-Star game, representing the Overtime Elite Basketball League. Bol has been with the Cold Hearts of Overtime Elite, with reports suggesting he has been a cheat code for the team this season.

John Bol has been committed to Ole Miss since July 2023. Bol had offers from some of the best teams across the nation. However, he chose to commit to the Rebels and head coach Chris Beard, signing his letter of intent in November.

A top ten centre in the 2024 class, it was a massive get for Chris Beard as he looked to stamp his mark with his first real recruiting class.

You can catch John Bol in the McDonald's All-American game on April 2nd in Houston, Texas inside the Toyota Centre.
