Ole Miss wide receiver moved from questionable to probable for South Carolina game
Ole Miss has numerous injury concerns for the Week 6 game against South Carolina. Offensive lineman Jayden Williams lhas been ruled out, with several others listed as questionable.
Wide receiver Tre Harris was one of the key players carrying an injury this week, making him questionable for the game. The positive news for Lane Kiffin is that Harris was moved from questionable to probable on Thursday in the SEC injury report.
Several other offensive players moved to probable
Along with Tre Harris, Ole Miss moved other offensive players from questionable to probable. Running back Matt Jones, wide receiver Micah Davis, and tight end Caden Prieskorn will all likely play tomorrow. Wide receiver Antwane Wells is also listed as probable and is looking for a good performance against his old team.
Cornerback Chris Graves Jr. looks to be trending to suit up, but there are still question marks around several defensive starters. It's still unclear if Princely Umanmielen, JJ Pegues, TJ Dottery, Akelo Stone, and Louis Moore will feature.
Running back Henry Parrish Jr., who leads the running back room in carries, rushing yards, and touchdowns, is still questionable, along with key offensive linemen Micah Pettus and Jeremy James. James has missed several weeks with a hand injury, but his listing as questionable is a good sign. Wide receiver Cayden Lee is the only other questionable player at this stage.
Another SEC injury report will be released before 8:00 p.m. EST tonight. We will learn more from that, and if there are still players questionable, we will wait around two hours before kick-off to see if they are out or game-time decisions.
In college football, key injuries happen, and coaches must plan for those setbacks. However, in such an important game, it would be disappointing to have so many game-changing players out. We will wait patiently for the injury report later today to see who is in danger of being inactive.
