Ole Miss women's basketball roster revealed ahead of the 2024-25 season
Ole Miss women's basketball enters its seventh season under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. The team is looking to make four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Coach Yo is targeting a top-four ranking for home advantage in the postseason.
The roster has been released for the 2024-25 season, and the team's mixture of experience and youth has it ranked as a fringe top-25 team in preseason rankings. The way-too-early rankings in May had them inside the top 25. Can the roster deliver a famous season for the program?
Ole Miss women's basketball return three key starters
The 2024-25 roster will return three starters, with the team built around veteran Madison Scott. Scott returns for her fifth season, coming off an SEC All-Defensive selection. She will be looking to enter the top ten in several stats, including appearances, career double-doubles, and blocks.

Ayanna Thompson and Kharyssa Richardson should see expanded roles this season. Thompson was a good option off the bench last season.
Several key transfers will replace what has been lost for Ole Mis women
As with many Ole Miss sports programs, the transfer portal became Coach Yo's best friend, picking up several talented players. Starr Jacobs is an excellent pick-up for the team, with a reputation for high-powered scoring.
UCLA transfer Christeen Iwuala is another good addition, a regular for the Bruins, who brings experience in big games and was part of the team's two super sixteen runs. Another Pac-12 transfer is Tameiya Sadler, who transferred in from Colorado.
Ole Miss also brings in some freshmen who have the talent to step up if needed, including Heloisa Carrera, a native of Brazil who comes from IMG Academy. We will see what this team can achieve, but Coach Yo and her team have a high ceiling this season.
