After spring practice, Ole Miss Football is still high in media analysts' SEC rankings.

Spring practices have ended for most college football teams. With that comes more rankings, with Ole Miss staying put as the third-best team in the SEC, according to several analysts.

SEC Unfiltered and Brad Crawford of 247Sports rank the Rebels behind Georgia and SEC newcomers Texas, a justified decision given the work head coach Lane Kiffin has done since the start of the new year.

Ole Miss 2024 Offense Looks Much Stronger Than Last Season

The offense was one of the best in the nation during the 2023 season, ranked No. 12 in offensive yards per game. Since the turn of the year, they have strengthened it further.

The receiver position already looked to be at a high level with returning players. However, Kiffin improved it further, adding Antwane Wells and Deion Smith. The Offensive line got significantly bigger in size, which offensive line coach John Garrison will hope helps them run the ball more efficiently this season.

The only central area of concern entering the spring portal on offense was the running back position. With Ulysses Bentley the only healthy running back with experience, the staff got to work via the transfer portal. They acquired commitments from previous New Mexico transfer Jacory Croskey-Merritt while also bringing back previous Rebel RB Henry Parrish, who transferred from Miami.

Will Ole Miss Add Any More Pieces on Defense During the Transfer Portal?

Ole Miss looks to have finished in the transfer portal on offense, with the defense potentially not finished. As of April 30, there have been no rumors of any in-comings. However, don't rule out any late work from Kiffin.

If more players were coming in, it would likely be at Edge or Cornerback. With the injury to Princely Umanmielen, the Rebels could add a piece if they feel Umanmielen may not be back until later in the season.

With Michigan transfer cornerback Amorion Walker re-entering the transfer portal, another area in which Kiffin may look to add a player.
