The Ole Miss Tight End Room the Latest Ranked in the Top 10 by On3

The Ole Miss tight end room is another position group that is a top 10 unit in the nation.

On3 ranked Ole Miss's quarterback, running back, and wide receiver rooms in the top 10 in 2024. You should also add the Rebels' tight end room to that list, as On3 sees them as a top-10 unit in college football.

Jesse Simonton, a college football writer at On3, ranked his top 10 tight end rooms in college football. Ole Miss ranked No. 8, ahead of Oregon and Iowa, which are regarded as tight end hotspots.

The Ole Miss tight end room is headed by the returning Caden Prieskorn, who transferred in from Memphis before the 2023 season. Despite missing the first four games through injury, the senior still managed 30 receptions for 449 yards and 4 touchdowns in his 9 games.

Prieskorn only had a little help down the stretch of the 2023 season. However, Virginia Tech transfer Dae'Quan Wright is an athletic tight end who could be a real asset alongside Prieskorn. They also have some young freshman tight ends, along with junior Hudson Wolfe.

Where Does the Ole Miss Offensive Line Rank?

It leaves the offensive line the only Ole Miss offensive group not to be ranked. On3 still hasn't released their top 10 O-Line rankings. However, it would be unlikely that the Rebels group would make that list.

Head coach Lane Kiffin and offensive lines coach John Garrison have worked to improve the 2024 offensive line. At times last season, especially in the Georgia game, quarterback Jaxson Dart's protection was questionable. While also being hit-and-miss in the run game.

The size of the line has been a point of interest, with the interior being bulked up with the acquisition of two big transfer guards from Washington. Nate Kalepo and Julius Buelow are over 315 lbs and showed last season in Washington; they are people movers. 

Add the other transfers and returning experience, and this offensive line is a top-25 one on paper heading into 2024. They are not in the top 10, but they are still a talented bunch.
