The NFL Combine position drills get underway tomorrow, with three Ole Miss Football players set to take part.
The Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will be full of talented college players over the coming days, looking to boost their NFL Draft stock. Three Ole Miss defensive players will be there this week, talking to scouts and participating in position drills.
First up on Thursday will be defensive end Cedric Johnson. He will be part of the defensive lineman and linebackers taking on various drills.
Johnson had a solid final season with the Rebels, registering 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks and three pass break-ups. The 6-3 225 lb defensive end had a good Senior Bowl in Mobile, especially in the practice drills during the week before the game.
Rebels fans won't have long to wait to see the remaining two Ole Miss players take to the field. Defensive backs Daijahn Anthony and Deantre Prince will be working out on Friday when it's the turn of the defensive backs and tight ends.
Looking at the few seven-round mock drafts from media sites, Cedric Johnson is the only Rebel predicted to be drafted. His draft position ranges from the third round to the fifth. However, a good showing at the NFL Combine, especially in the interviews, would help the players boost their stock.
Below is the schedule for all position groups at this years NFL Scouting Combine:
