It was a tough start to the week for Ole Miss, as three players from its 2025 recruiting class decommitted on the same day. Today, however, the Rebels has some better news, with the commitment of a three-star defensive lineman out of Louisiana.

Corey Adams announced today that he was committing to the Rebels, choosing Lane Kiffin's team over Texas A&M, TCU, and LSU, one of his home state schools. There were signs that Adams could be committing to Ole Miss when On3 had a prediction in, and then Pete Golding and staff members dropped the shark emojis.

Adams is rated a three-star prospect, ranked the No. 33 defensive lineman, and No. 13 played out of Louisiana per On3. The New Orleans native established a good relationship with defensive line coach Randall Joyner, who was a big part of his commitment to the Rebels. Adams spoke to On3 regarding his relationship with Joyner.

"“I really like coach Joyner. He matches my energy,” Adams said. “He’s real cool and I wouldn’t mind having him as my d-line coach.”"

Adams is the sixth defensive player to commit from the 2025 class, joining four-star Andrew Maddox, another recent defensive lineman commit. Looking back at the 2023 to 2025 recruiting classes, DC Pete Golding and Randall Joyner are hitting another level when it comes to recruiting the defense, particularly on the front seven.
