Pro Football Focus announced their college football 2024 All-Transfer Portal team yesterday, with two Ole Miss players making the defensive side of the ball.

Ole Miss Football have had a productive transfer portal class, ranked number one in the country. The Rebels have replenished the defensive side of the ball, with some of the best players added from the transfer portal.

Two of Ole Miss's defensive players have been recognized as key transfers for Lane Kiffin's team. Defensive tackle Walter Nolen and defensive end Princely Umanmielen both made the 2024 PFF All-Transfer Portal team.

Nolen and Umanmielen were named on the defensive line alongside Purdue transfer Nic Scourton and Duke transfer Aeneas Peebles, who joined Texas A&M and Virginia Tech, respectively.

Walter Nolen and Princely Umanmielen were both ranked in the top 12 players in the transfer portal by On3, with Nolen being the number two-ranked player.

Umanmielen transferred from Florida, playing four seasons with the Gators. During his time with the team, he registered 98 tackles, 15 sacks and three forced fumbles. The Texas native was named to the second-team All-SEC coaches team last season.

Defensive tackle Walter Nolen transferred in from Texas A&M, being one of the most sought-after players from the transfer portal. The five-star 2022 recruit was a big pick-up for Lane Kiffin. In his two seasons with the Aggies, Nolen had 66 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble.

Both defensive linemen will be a handful for opposing offensive lines in the 2024 season. They are two of many reasons why Ole Miss are one of the favourites to make the College Football Playoffs next season.
