When could ESPN College Gameday visit Ole Miss this coming season?

ESPN College Gameday will look a little different this coming season, with the introduction of former Alabama head coach Nick Saban to the team. We already know that for week 1 the Gameday team will be at College Station for Notre Dame at Texas A&M.

It won't be the first game that College Gameday will be in attendance at this coming season. It will have its first-ever broadcast outside of the United States for the week 0 match-up between Florida State and Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland.

It leaves thirteen open weeks for the ESPN College Gameday team to land, with them deciding the week leading up to each Saturday. Ole Miss has a few stand-out home games scattered throughout the season. Which of those Rebels games could College Gameday attend?

Week 11 - Georgia at Ole Miss

The week 11 showdown against Georgia would be the most likely game ESPN College Gameday would attend. They were in Athens in 2023 for the reverse fixture of this game, the Bulldogs blowing out Ole Miss 52-17.

If both these teams sit unbeaten heading into the week 11 game, it would be hard for Herbstreit and Co. not to attend. It would be less likely if Lane Kiffin's team had dropped a game or two. Don't rule Georgia being at 7-1 or 6-2, with games on the road against Alabama and Texas before week 11.

Week 11 has a packed Saturday of games: Alabama at LSU, Oklahoma at Missouri, Florida State at Notre Dame, and the rivalry game, BYU at Utah. It will all depend on how Ole Miss and Georgia's records look and whether both are competing for the SEC standings' top spot.

Week 9 - Oklahoma at Ole Miss

It's not out of the question that SEC new boys Oklahoma could be unbeaten when they head into Oxford in week 9 of the 2024 season. They have Texas and Tennessee, but Oklahoma took the Red River Rivalry game last season.

If Ole Miss is also unbeaten, this could be an option for College Gameday to attend. The 2024 Red River Rivalry game is in week 7, with the Gameday team being their last season. They would also have to compete with Ohio State at Oregon, which, if I were a betting man, I would put my money on College Gameday being in Eugene.

Of course, it's all hypothetical. However, the ESPN cameras could be in the Grove for the week 9 showdown.

Road games that could feature on ESPN College Gameday

One road game that could feature on College Gameday for Ole Miss would be in Baton Rouge. It's an earlier game in the season, happening in week 7. Both teams have split the games over the last two seasons. Last season's game was a thriller, with the Rebels winning 55-49.

We are still determining what LSU will be in 2024, losing plenty of offensive talent to the NFL. Before week 7, they face USC, UCLA, and South Carolina, so we will see if they have the potential to challenge for the playoffs. If they do, this could be where we first see Ole Miss on College Gameday.

If Lane Kiffin's team does what many expect, seeing them on ESPN College Gameday more than once in 2024 would not be a shock.
