Lane Kiffin's LSU decision foisted the biggest gamble on the Ole Miss Rebels in the College Football Playoff.

There was a solid chance that the Rebels would have been toppled or altogether eliminated from the final 12-team bracket, since it was a completely unprecedented case.

CFP Chair Hunter Yuracheck revealed how the committee had no reason to steal the chance from Ole Miss after the Rebels' roster earned an 11-1 season.

However, there is still a tinge of anxiousness if the committee decides to change their mind in the final rankings, after the thrilling championship weekend.

With the CFP rankings just a few hours away, here is the predicted CFP bracket

How to watch CFP bracket reveal: Channel, time, streaming, and more

First Round Byes:

No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers

No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes

No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs

No. 4 Texas Tech Red Raiders

First Round Matchups:

No. 5 Oregon Ducks Vs No. 12 Sun Belt Champions James Madison

No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels Vs No. 11 American Champions Tulane Green Wave

No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies Vs No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide

No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners Vs No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

While the Oregon Ducks spent the weekend resting at home, the Duke Blue Devils' ACC win cleared the way for James Madison to get into the Top 12.

Tulane handled North Texas's offense equally well in the AAC Championship Game. If the bracket turns out as predicted, they will face an Ole Miss Rebels roster with a new head coach in Pete Golding.

Kalen DeBoer's squad getting crushed by Georgia will knock them down pretty bad. In this case, they take on the Aggies who crushed BYU, making their CFP chances close to zero.

And finally, the Fighting Irish came out winning in the heated Miami-Notre Dame debate in the CFP rankings weeks, and now they face Brent Venables' elite defense.

While there is little room for a shakeup wilder than this, we never know with the CFP committee.
