After finding out their three annual opponents, Ole Miss Rebels Coach Lane Kiffin has a good reason to sweat it.
On Tuesday, the SEC announced their nine-conference game slate, with three annual competitors for each team. Ole Miss's slate looks something like this.

2027 opponents: at LSU, at Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kentucky, South Carolina, at Arkansas, at Tennessee, at Texas A&M

In all, the schedule looks promising for the Rebels, with potential to bring out some of the best talents from the Rebels squad. Kiffin is no stranger to taking on blue-blood programs like Georgia and Alabama in recent years, either, which is also why their three annual contenders don't sound too dangerous.
At least two of them don't. The remaining one could turn out to be a team that spells trouble for the Rebels.
Lane Kiffin Needs a Strategy for LSU
Currently ranked No. 4, the LSU Tigers have the crème de la crème in college football ever since Brian Kelly helped the program find its footing. The Tigers' progress has been an upward trajectory fortified with several top recruiting classes in the past few years.
Not to mention their QB, Garrett Nussmeier, is one of the best signal-callers and a Heisman front runner this season.
Even when speaking in terms of their historic rivalry, LSU has an upper hand over the Rebels in their Magnolia Bowl rivalry. Played annually since 1945, LSU leads the series with a 64-42-4 record.

Kiffin took over the Rebels in 2019 and has won two games vs. LSU since, while the Tigers have won three. Seeing how tough Kelly's squad looks this season, Kiffin needs an ironclad plan to settle the records against Kelly and continue doing so in the following years.
Squaring off against LSU becomes either the highlight or the lowlight of the Rebels' season. Interestingly, fans won't need to wait much to witness the game this season, as LSU heads to the Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium this Saturday.
