Ole Miss basketball is on the road again, against the bottom-of-the-standings South Carolina at the Colonial Life Arena.

The Gamecocks have zero SEC wins, holding a record of 0-10. However, it feels its first win is just around the corner, and could Ole Miss be facing them at a bad time?

In the last three home games, South Carolina lost by one point to No.6 ranked Florida, took No.22 ranked Mississippi State to OT, and lost by four points to No. 10 ranked Texas A&M. It just has that feeling the home crowd is willing them to its first win.

Next up is No. 19-ranked Ole Miss, fresh off its last-gasp win over LSU, another SEC team that has struggled this season. The Rebels went on an 11-0 run to finish the game and beat the Tigers by two points. It's why Vegas has this game much closer than maybe if it was played several weeks ago.

Coach Chris Beard knows that if they play like they did against LSU, it will make the game challenging. If they play like they did against Kentucky the game prior, this will be another notch in the win bracket.

The Rebels are also unbeaten against teams outside Quad 1, with a 12-0 record. Beard knows that he goes out the window playing on the road in the SEC. A win tonight puts Ole Miss in a prime position for the NCAA Tournament.
