It was a night to remember for the Ole Miss program and its fans, beating Georgia 28-10 to keep the playoff dream alive. It was Lane Kiffin's first win as Ole Miss head coach over a top 5 ranked AP Poll team in front of a record-breaking attendance at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

In front of a full recruiting section, Rebels fans stormed the field twice. First, a premature one with 15 seconds left, they got it right, celebrating a night many will remember for a long time. Once on the field, you know the goalposts were heading out of the stadium.

Oxford Police concede defeat to goalposts being removed

After the win, all eyes were on the goalposts at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Oxford Police accepted the fate of both goalposts, posting on social media that they would see them in the square.

The goalposts made it through the streets of Oxford in multiple pieces. Fans showed the teamwork that the players showed on the field against Georgia.

The last known picture of the goalposts was outside the square, waiting for the Oxford Police Department to pick them up. They even hit the Facebook marketplace, with one comment asking if they were still available.

The LSU win was significant last season, but this time, it was a program-defining win that Lane Kiffin has been chasing for some time. It wasn't just one side of the ball that made that win so dominant; it was every player who made that win possible. Now, they need to finish the job in the last two games.
