Ole Miss moved to the No. 11 spot in the College Football Playoff Rankings last night. The Rebels have a bye in Week 12, which is an excellent time to get players back for the final stretch of the regular season.

After its dominating win over Georgia, Ole Miss is in an excellent spot in the playoff picture. This weekend, they may slip down a place or two, but they will still have a playoff spot if they convincingly win their final two games.

Close wins could jeopardize a playoff spot for Ole Miss

Ole Miss faces Florida and Mississippi State in its final two games. The Gators have two conference wins, while the Bulldogs have zero, so the Rebels don't want to play any of them close, as it could affect their playoff chances.

Ole Miss could still qualify if it struggles to win one of its final games. However, several teams could be on two losses from the SEC. If so, the CFP committee may look at other conference wins, as many of these teams have beaten one another.

With their wins over Georgia and South Carolina, the Rebels will be in if they can handle both teams without any doubt.

The teams above them, as it stands, could drop below them, looking at the games they still need to play. In the SEC, Tennessee plays Georgia this weekend, and Texas A&M plays Texas in a rivalry weekend. In the Big Ten, Indiana still needs to play Ohio State, with one of each team going to drop a game.

They also play teams that could cause an upset, just like Florida and Mississippi State could if Ole Miss is not on it. So it's simple: firstly, win the games, but try to do it with style to eliminate any doubt.
