Shavezz Dixon, a highly regarded interior offensive lineman from Lee County High School in Leesburg, Ga., has officially committed to play college football at Ole Miss. Dixon made his decision public on Sept. 17, 2025, choosing the Rebels over several other big-name programs, including Arkansas and Texas A&M.
At 6-foot-4 and 305 pounds, Dixon brings a formidable presence to the trenches and stands out as one of the most notable commitments in Lane Kiffin’s quickly developing 2027 recruiting class. This is a big-time get for the program:
First and Foremost I wanna thank the man above Jesus Christ. Thank you to my friends, coaches, and family for all the sacrifices you all have made for me to be in this position. With that being said. I am blessed to announce that I am Committed to the University of Mississippi 🦈… pic.twitter.com/f31s0ng6p6

Standout offensive lineman Shavezz Dixon has committed to Ole Miss
Dixon is ranked among the nation’s top interior linemen for 2027, holding the No. 31 position at his spot and coming in as the No. 56 overall prospect in Georgia. His sophomore campaign proved impressive - he recorded 32 pancake blocks and allowed only one sack, earning First Team All-Region honors. Coaches and analysts have praised both his raw power and his technical development, pointing to his potential to make an immediate impact in the SEC.
Dixon cited his visit to Oxford as a critical factor in his commitment. He highlighted the warm reception from the coaching staff and fan base, stating that the experience “felt like home” and that the coaches made him feel like a priority. Dixon becomes the third member of Ole Miss’s 2027 class, joining other highly regarded prospects four-star defensive lineman Jamarkus Pittman and rising linebacker Jiyez Fleming.
Looking ahead, Dixon’s commitment signals Ole Miss’s intent to build a physical, competitive roster for the future. Dixon expressed excitement for his college journey and the opportunity to grow both on and off the field, mentioning hopes of chasing a national championship with the Rebels.
His athletic promise and leadership could play a vital role in the next era of Ole Miss football. It is clear that Kiffin and the Ole Miss coaching staff is making a point of emphasis to recruit elite offensive line prospects out of the high school ranks.
