Tre Harris injury update: Ole Miss wide receiver taken to locker room vs. Florida
It's been a tough start to the Week 13 game for Ole Miss, who is going toe-to-toe on offense with Florida. Tied at 14-14, at the half, the Rebels have turned the ball over in the red zone and missed a field goal.
However, before the game, the good news was that wide receiver Tre Harris would return from injury after missing the last three games. The bad news was that he headed to the locker room in the second quarter with an injury, and his return is still up in the air.
Tre Harris injured by a tackle in the red zone
Tre Harris, who had one reception for 43 yards in the first half, the catch going for a touchdown pass, headed toward the locker room after getting banged up while attempting to haul in a pass.
ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Harris appeared to have reinjured his groin/hip, which had forced him out for the last month.
It is still to be determined whether Harris will return for the second half, something we will learn as the players enter the field shortly in Gainesville.
Ole Miss needs to win to keep its playoff hopes alive, and it will hope to perform a little better on defense in the final half. Florida is making it challenging for the Rebels, with quarterback DJ Lagway having an excellent first half.
