Ole Miss will not hold a spring game for the fans for the second consecutive season. Last year, Lane Kiffin's team was one of the first to make the switch, with many more following suit in 2025.
Kiffin has decided that instead of the Ole Miss games day they had last year, which involved slam dunk contests, flag football, and a hot dog eating contest; he will switch it up again. This year, they will host the 'Meet the Rebels' day, where fans can come down and chat with the players and staff and grab autographs and pictures.
The Ole Miss head coach spoke about why the program is changing the direction of spring games, looking at being more pro-ready for players. Winning is more important than ever in college, and teams are becoming more pro-like.
"In keeping with our program's pro mindset, we are taking a business-like approach with our spring drills with the focus of improving as a team. After careful thought including the timing of other spring events, we determined it was best not to hold a spring game. We look forward to hosting a fan day for the Ole Miss family to engage with our players on a personal level."Lane Kiffin
Admission is free for fans and will occur on Saturday, April 12, at around 1.00 pm CST. It will be two hours before Ole Miss baseball takes on top-ranked Tennessee in game 2 of the weekend series. The hope is Swayze Field will be packed for the big game.
More information will be revealed the week leading up to the event, but it is set to be a big day for Ole Miss fans who can get up close with the players and possibly some former ones, too.
