Which players are Ole Miss basketball looking at in the transfer portal?

Ole Miss basketball has seen a dry patch of players coming in from the transfer portal, missing out on several transfers. The team has added three solid players, but they will need much more if they plan to make it to the NCAA Tournament and attempt to become National Champions.

Chris Beard and his staff are working on several top prospects in the portal. Could one of the below or more be the next player into Oxford?

PJ Haggerty, Guard - Memphis

One of the best players in the portal, PJ Haggerty, is a five-star transfer, previously a four-star recruit from the 2022 class. He has made stops at TCU, Tulsa, and Memphis and is now looking for his fourth school in four seasons. He averaged 21.7 PPG, 5.8 RPG, & 3.7 APG on 47.6 FG% and 36.4 3FG% during the 2024-25 season. A dynamic scorer, something that Ole Miss could do with.

Desmond Claud, Guard - USC

USC transfer Desmond Claud is attracting interest from some of the top schools, one of which is Ole Miss. BYU, Gonzaga, Indiana, and National Champions Florida also pursue his commitment. Claud averaged 15.8 points and 4.2 assists this season. On3 has reported that Beard holds significant interest in the 2023 recruit but looks to have to fight off the gators.

Travis Perry, Guard - Kentucky

Travis Perry entered the transfer portal recently and had plenty of buzz as a former top 100 recruit. Ole Miss has been heavily linked with Perry due to how hard Chris Beard recruited him from high school. The Rebels made his final five, so he should be in with a shot again. The freshman wants more court time and would get that with the Rebels. Of the three players mentioned, Perry is the most likely to transfer to Oxford.
